Central / West Texas

We ranch out in west Texas.  Between my father and I, we have probably removed about a dozen in the last 30 years. 4  of them have been taken close enough to hit with a rock.  Once, while on the phone with my mother, she said I have to go, your father is running through the house with his SKS.  In her haste, she didn't hang up the phone and I could her the dispatch of the rifle and hear shell casings tinging off the floor of the concrete porch.  Later, she called back and said dad had gotten one in the parking area by the house. I caught a few in hog traps,  they were not too happy to be in there!  Big Bend park is not far from us, so they are accustomed to people.  One of our employees was walking from his house to the horse barn and one walked across his path, he picked up a rock and hit it in the head.  It ran off.  That Hispanic guy was a tough old bird.     Wish I would have weighed and measured them.  I would guess most were 100 pounds or more.
