Growing corn with a 125-150 yield goal. Conventional tillage. Usually one person operation looking to one pass the season’s nitrogen. No fertilizer on planter. Soil CEC in the 6-9 range. For the same money, would you prefer to broadcast ~300 lbs of urea and work in with a field cultivator just prior to planting, do the same with ~200 lbs of ESN, or just plant corn and top dress ~225 lbs of Super U in season? Again, the cost is about the same for any of the three at that point. Thoughts? Thanks for the discussion.
