Subject: Tiling ground question: High water table early season. Can it work?

Moreauville LA
Probably within 400 miles of me, or more there is no field tile.

My area, all alluvial soils, a lot of it affected from the 1927 flood have issues with staying wet. Not holding surface water, have a 1-2% slope, precision leveled, but these veins just don't dry up with the rest of the fields. Causes timing issues and stays cool. And the crops show it.

I have dug with backhoe in many of these area to find a layer of clay about 3' down, 12" thick usually with water running out of it. This time of year the water table is high. About 3' down as well

Tile? On level ground, and only side ditches 18" deep or a 4' canal on tail end, how do you discharge tile? Water table effect?

Pics to show these veins

Different timing of tillage in the pics (spring pics) mask them. They tend to play out as you leave the front ground and get into the heavier soil. The lighter soils follow the contours of the bayous in the area. Likely these are all old meanders of bayous, rivers, etc. They aren't soft, just high water content.
