Subject: RE: Ethanol Blend Rate is Short

mn

Shawn michigan - 3/29/2020 19:34 The 15 billion was supposed to include advanced biofuels which were fiber, stalks etc... The total 15 billion was not supposed to be all corn ethanol and until just recently it wasn't legal to blend over 10% hence blend wall. We better figure out another market for Ethanol if we want corn ethanol to increase production. Gas demand is only going to trend down in the future. Which means less ethanol blended. There will be more ev in the future. Better gas mileages. If the economy doesn't take back off gas demand could be in the crapper for a while.

RFS=36 Billion gallons of Renewable Fuels
15 Billion Gallons - Corn Based Ethanol
21 Billion Gallons - Cellulosic Ethanol and Other Advanced Fuels

Never been any such thing as a blend wall. Something Oil Companies used as an excuse not to blend. Cellulosic didn’t work so that part of RFS isn’t being enforced.
