Yes you can.  We use a product called O-no-mo, seen it other places as Calf Claim, and a dose of tranquilizer.  I believe that it is a mix of ACE and romp.  Sprinkle the O-no-mo on the calf from head to tail and give the cow the tranquilizer.  You may have to put her in the squeeze chute a couple of times to get the calf nursing, but once the calf figures it out and she is tranquillized for a couple of days the adoption should take.  Keep them locked up together for several days, once she is mothering the calf you can turn them out.
