Pop up is only a supplement to dry fertilizer anyway, put the k on with the floater, for corn we like to apply it right ahead of the planter with 30# actual S, fro Ams.


Agreed. Infurrow should be viewed as an insurance policy not season long supply. It insures early plant available nutrient source when soil temps are too cool to naturally supply either the quantity or the rate needed. Depending on the nutrient, it provides protection until soil at root depth gets >50-70. Here we might plant May 1 but 4" soil temp might not hit 70 until end of June. Plus this placement is a more efficient band effect for non mobile micro nutrients.
