You do kind of get what you pay for. A Chromebook is the very lowest of entry level computer if you really only want to browse the internet and not much else. Also a desktop only lacks mobility, other than that it will always be better, faster, more easily repairable and cheaper than a comparable laptop. Also much easier to upgrade.
