Subject: RE: Raven Accuboom not shutting off section 1 and 8

Butterfield, MN
That looks like it's probably the right plug.

No, not out of place, I mean, I'm sure the cable was built correctly for the sprayer, but as soon as the boom was modified and they used the outputs for the fence row nozzles, it no longer matched up with how the system was designed to work. The original booms, 1-6, were going to pins that also worked with the AccuBoom. The fence row nozzles were not. Now that they've got them wired up with regular boom sections for the far left and right sections, which were formerly fence row nozzles, you'll have to repin the outputs from the AccuBoom cable to output correctly.

For reference, boom section wire colors on the Raven side are as follows:

Black-Boom 1
Brown-Boom 2
Blue-Boom 3
Black with white tracer stripe-Boom 4
Brown with white tracer stripe-Boom 5
Blue with white tracer stripe-Boom 6
White with black tracer stripe-Boom 7
White with brown tracer stripe-Boom 8
White with brown tracer stripe-Boom 9
Pink-Boom 10

If you wanted to double check, unhook both sides of the AccuBoom harness where it tees into the sprayer caling, then start a job with AccuBoom disabled so you can turn your sections on and off manually with the switches while sitting still. Then use a volt meter or test light to see which pin on the cable from AccuBoom turns on associated with each switch. That would be the fool-proof way to make sure it all gets hooked up right.

From the picture you sent, that looks like it should be about right, but can't see all of the wires too clearly. Either way, if you repin that plug on the AccuBoom cable side, and can use a power probe to make sure each section turns on in order, put the pins in from each corresponding boom assignment to match up with the pin on the other plug that actually turns on that boom section. That should make everything work in order.

Since the booms are turning green when you turn on the outer sections with the switches in the cab, that at least tells me that the boom sense node is wired up to communicate with that, so it should hopefully all work nicely.
