| Look back to how gold performed back in the early 80’s when interest rates cranked up. Then tell me how much gold bought in 1979 you would have wanted to own. You’d have got your head torn off. As a matter of fact, the Hunt brothers were extremely wealthy oil barons in the 70’s, (Nelson Bunker Hunt being the richest man in the world) and they had the same idea you have regarding precious metals. They mostly played in silver, but silver and gold at the time moved in the same direction. I can assure you, things didn’t work out too swell for them either.
