SW Wisconsin | I wouldn’t graze that quite yet if you’ve got other options. I also think the 10” figure above is too conservative. If you can get it all over about 6” of new growth, preferably closer to 8”, you should be fine in my experience. Move them fast: new grass every 12 hours, especially early in the season, is about right. I would start out with about a 10 day rotation: 20 paddocks, 2 paddocks/day. 12 hours on 10 days off. | |
