You're right. Scrap price around here is pretty pathetic though. I thought about sending my Oliver 4 bottom semi-mount to the scrap yard but it makes a nice pasture ornament.
One of the other things I like about the Poly 2000's is they are easier to free from the mud & frozen ground. I move my feeders around the feeding field in the winter & they "float" a little better.
