Hire an exterminator and get on his monthly route.

I hired ecolab (formerly lystads) 30+ years ago when I had a rodentual infestation in my old dairy barn that was straw bedded and used for hogs. When I turned on the light I would see several rats scurry away.

They still come once a month. Money well spent.
