Great post Mitchco. I am sick and tired of people like Pat who keep crying about the flu and how this thing is a much less bigger deal than the various flus that kill thousands annually. If we ignore this thing as some seem to want us to do it will dwarf the flu in short order. Are these nonbelievers paying attention to what is happening at hospitals in the big cities? Have we ever seen big city hospitals overflowing with flu cases like is happening now? Have we ever seen the flu kill 100 people a day just in one city? Wake up people! If we take no measures or grow complacent this thing could kill hundreds of thousands. The good news is that over the objections of non believers we have already taken some major steps to hopefully help curb this thing. We are also seeing the very real possibility that some factories can quickly convert over and produce ventilators. Although your point about having healthcare workers to run those ventilators is a sobering one. I truly hope that people like Pat end up being right but the evidence we are currently seeing suggests otherwise.
