There seems to be lots of discussion on here about the number of cases of Covid-19 and the amount of, or lack of testing. To me, the only important number is how many people die per million residents of a country, city, etc.

I did a bit of quick math, and Italy is up to 137 deaths per million people, and still rising quickly. Then Spain at 93, and Iran at 27. Way down the list is the US with 3.9 and Canada at exactly 1. You can easily do the math to calculate numbers for a state or a city.

Deaths are based off information from this web site:
https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd402...

So if things get as bad in Canada as it is in Italy at this time, we would have 5200 deaths! And the US would have over 45,000!

I like it.

-Italians are fat, old, drink tons of wine and smoke.
-Americans are fat, eat Mcdonalds and drink beer.
-Canadians play hockey 5 days a week, don’t smoke and.... well ok there is the beer
