i guess i was raised different than most of you but sitting around pissing and moaning waiting for the government to bail me out just isn't in the cards for me. i really like advice and opinions on agtalk but I'm getting sick of seeing garvo or whoever post or comment every ten minutes whining about the price of fats and posting every day what the bid is. get off your phone or computer and go work man, pour concrete, frame a house, paint a house , sheetrock, landscape, pick up trash, just go work and lose about forty pounds. I'm ranting because agtalk used to be worth while but now its just a bunch of salliys posting about the packers price gouging and others posting about mud. its always muddy in the spring turn bulls july 20 ,like poverty acres said "shoulder shrug" . alright let me hear it feeders and guys from missouri

Just curious how many fat cattle you have raised and marketed the last 12 mos.? Maybe we are all a bunch of whiners and complainers but I for one am against a mfp payment for livestock. The fact that we are even talking about such is an indication of a broken, manipulated system. All we are asking for is the free market to be allowed to work. Last time I checked I still live in USA. As far as the weather some of us have been given a tough hand to deal with and the cow calf guys I know are the toughest most resilient producers in the world. Our water levels continue to rise past levels anyone alive has seen. Calving any time of the year here the last 14 mos has been a battle. I know of fall calvers that saw problems they had never experienced before. Lastly if I lose forty lbs. I am in big trouble. I could go on but I have to get my lazy backside out to check heifers and that takes some doing.
