Subject: RE: planting soybeans with grain drill ?

Petersburg, Illinois
We plant beans with a 1590. I have reduced seeding rates down to 130000. My yields have improved and seed cost is less. The problem is that canopy is slower to develop. It may look like canopy from the road, but just take a walk! I don't think canopy occurs any sooner than with rowed beans at my reduced population.
