Portland TN | Try to post some pics. of the RK closing wheel bearing update build done last week.
First pic is where I had to grind off a 1"flat washer that the previous owner had welded
on to fix the slop the first time.
Second is where I had opened up the dia. to about 1.125" with a carbide burr.
Third, made a fixture to locate the ring on to the frame using the edge to locate it at the same place every
time and then clamped with a 1" bolt.
Fourth and fifth, .75" welds to secure.
After mounting back on planter, painted and checked for alignment. All where centered on the furrow , I had to make no adjustments.
Best $25 a row spent and would recommend doing new frames before installing.
