As you note rocks and no NH3 the issue of depth isn’t that important. With a coulter machine the power requirement is a lot lower.

If you shallow up your depth expectation you might reduce power even more. I’m not convinced that extra depth is a big positive once deep enough for proper fertilizer incorporation or seed safety.

Physically I don’t know how much tractor heft you need to handle a big Soil Warrior in spring strip mode. You need to be sure of that in your soils with a dry unit full. I’m not sure how much speed is required to make a decent strip with that rig.

The speed, weight (tonnage), and depth components of the equation are big factors in Hp requirement.
