Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA | Greetings,
I run an 8 shank with liquid and ammonia on a non chipped Mag 215. I don’t think it would handle dry.
With non-shank machine hp declines a lot but not that much with big air system. I think they figure 50 hp for the blower.
If memory serves, Dawn used to say the pluribus would use similar hp as the same planter but don’t have facts on that.
I run a Strip Cat (now by Hawkins Mfg) and they have a coulter option, One reason I bought it. I know a guy running 12 rows liquid Coulter Strip Cat on a 7140? Or similar sized Magnum with a big weight bracket out front. Does a nice job in spring.

I know the ETS machines are very well built and expensive. I don’t know Hp requirements but that much iron takes physical weight and Hp to handle.
I run RTK strips with 8, plant 16 with pretty good results on gentle curves or straight.
The machine can make a lot of difference in Hp. Best of luck. Photos are from a wet spring 2019.
