Just don’t get them fat. Between a BCS score of 3-4. More towards 3 than 4 because that is getting towards being fat. This is a 1-5 scoring system. If you don’t know look it up. Big thing for calving in my opinion is to get them to exercise. A sedentary animal will have more problems than one that moves around.
