Good feed. Feed it to anything. Oats is great bedding. Soaks up more juices than wheat will. If you have any carry over, cows will eat it like candy....even though it's for bedding. Good filler if you have some hot feed. We seed everything with a drill up here. We don't get the moisture like most do. We swath everything and pick it up. We baled some roughly 50bushel oats that the kernels were thin, do to running out of water when it was in the critical time. Cows like it, calves like it and rodents love it!

Ive never grown oats, so i figured if i ws going to fight it being down i would be better off to plant it thick and not let it go to seed so it goes down. I would be able to use the oats for sure between creep feed and calf starter. This is why i posted this, i need an education on growing oats and i dont want to find out the hard way lol
