this deal fixing to get real ugly. No dine in eating allowed all over the country...people buying and hoarding up all the meat they can...getting layed off from work...no income =not buying high priced beef in the coming weeks that hasn't made it to the cooler. Cheaper corn =heavier cattle in the coming weeks = more beef coming into a market that is going to be saturated with beef in the coolers already. Lots of net worth of working class people has disappeared in the stockmarket in the last couple weeks...those will be forced to move to cheaper alternatives such as chicken and pork. as much as people can fuss about things not being fair and the way the packer/producer relations are...the fact is that our markets are going to still be at work in the coming weeks and months until some stability comes with this pandemic. None of us know when that will be but I feel that instead of bitching so much about everything we must come together as an industry and just be thankful that we can provide protein to our country and be a part of the ABUNDANT food supply in this country. We should be thankful that we all will be able to feed our families and have what we need to survive during this crisis. In the end LIFE IS ABOUT LIVING not MONEY. We have so much to be thankful for and if folks would always think about that first things wouldn't be near as bad as they seem. Stay safe and take care of your family and just be thankful for our blessings.

that is the problem-when live cattle are worth $2240 a head and you have $1540 given by the packers it is not free trade-so when box beef goes back down will they still need the same mark up? Today the mark up is over $65 in the box beef trade-Bids of $175 in the beef and box beef going out at $240-in the future when box beef trades at $200 would put us at$135x63.5 yield or about $86 live-hate for them to change there mark up (200x63.5=$127-live)
