Buffalo IL
Most fed protein supplement, before the ethanol boom. More available gluten here than ddgs. Wet milling vs dry milling. Really can shop around for different types of byproducts. I don't think I have my feed ingredient book anymore or I just don't remember where it's at. Heck you use to be able to even use hydrolyzed feather meal in rations 80 percent protein. Worked better in cattle ration and had good bypass protein levels. Purina and Wayne feed used to use it alot in making cheap 40 percent hog supplement. Not the most digestable protein in a swine diet.
Don't know the protein value of peas, but the pet food industry uses them, but they have to be human grade. So lower quality will be discounted.
