I can guarantee you the winters of 2009, 2014, 2018, 2019 have cost me the most money with mud. Calving with hay and mud and bale rings have killed more calves than any other environment I have raised young calves. Creeks have cost me alot of calves over the years.
Sorry my post came all out as the quote. The spring of 93 was awful also. I forget the number I lost before the match 1 calving date to March 15, but the weather changed on the 15th. I only had 53 cows the and 37 calves by the 15th. I can remember that spring very well. I also lost my mother the 3rd of March.
