Convert your dry bale price to $/ton dm. Figure total lbs of dm In your wet bales and use the $/ton dm figure from above.
Example: 85% dm bale at $100/ton equates to $117.65/ton of dm.
If your wet bales weigh 2000 lbs and it’s 50% moisture they have 1000lbs dm in them. So 1000/2000 is a .5 ton bale x $117.65/ton is $58.82 per bale.
