That is where I had heard of them before.

Basically you start with all the flowers at a top price, first high bidder gets his pick of lots at the price/lot he bid, then bidding starts again, starting prices going down in price more or less dictated by the quality of the lots remaining, the clock, and the demand for said lots.

I agree you might be able to squeeze more $$$ out of the sale, but the vast majority of people attending/bidding might be a little hesitant to start bidding, it takes a bit to wrap your mind around working downwards but it should save you from going over your own preset limit, however you likely won't get a deal either. I think it'd be fun to see sometime.
