my calving pen is homemade 10 foot square the swing gate is made from farrowing crate sides so 6 or 6.5 feet, its about even with the back end of the cow when shes in the headgate seems about right. 10 feet square is kind of small so we put a walk gate behind the cow for when we use the puller.
