Yup, you are OKAY'd to put fert through the aim system for sure, just take precautions not to let it sit in the boom. Really sucks if you get rain for 2-3 days, but best store the boom clean of that.
Also, the spring on the poppet (inside the solenoid) isn't stainless, so keep an eye on that as well.
