Fire during a dry spell in February or March.

During the end of winter before the cool season grass greens up, on a day that is warm with low humidity and with as much wind as you can keep the fire under control, cedar trees that size can burn good. Fire will kill all of the small trees that you do not see above the grass. A good burn every four or five years will prevent cedar trees from becoming a problem.
