| I've been using it for years for beets and corn for my later season nitrogen source. Being its slow release I blow it on prior to spring tillage, roughly 275# of urea and 80# of ESN for beets and roughly 225# of urea and 200# of ESN for corn.
Yes its a little more expensive but one less trip across the field later to apply nitrogen which I consider the cost to apply and my time to do a wash. (I do farm 1000/a mostly alone)
I'll add my land is flat and well tiled so I'm not real concerned with losing it. If I wasn't tiled and had lots of spring run off I'd maybe re-consider.
