Subject: This date in history, March 14, 2012

The following was on my wife's Facebook memories for today.

Started our spring tillage yesterday! In our 31 years of farming, we have never been in the field on March 13th. We are just hitting a few fields that are getting weedy now. It is so unseasonably dry already, kinda scary... but trying not to worry about a summer drought.

Note to self and to my son: If it is ever really dry here this early be very concerned about a summer drought!
