Texas | They (hospital staff) tried pushing the Statin drugs on my mom when she was hospitalized for strokes and cancer. She was still alert enough, while laying in the hospital bed, to make decisions for herself. She’d tell the nurses that the risks are not worth it. Of course the nurses would keep pushing and say that the drugs are everything wonderful. To me, these are no different than employees at an auto parts store pushing products. Nurses are just doing what they’re told. But you the patient are the one who may end up paying with your health and suffer.
My decision is the same to never take statin drugs. Don’t need them.
I won’t derail this thread, but will simply say that my mom endured things that I don’t wish to happen to others. It ultimately helped to shorten her life.
