SE NE | I not sure I have any specific advice but I can relate to your frustration. I don't know how many times in the past couple years when I thought it was too wet for a particular operation, discuss it with Dad and he says just to go. It doesn't make it easy at the time but I can say it has usually turned out okay in the end. Usually he's coming from the position that you never know if conditions will improve and waiting usually isn't productive. The final decision usually comes down to which farm we're on, if its one of my own then I make the decision. Ones we share I try to listen to him. Like I said, probably doesn't help your situation much but your not the first one in that position. The saving grace is usually your in the tractor by yourself and can come to terms with it by the time the field is done! |
