Chebanse, IL.....

The laser printer I have is a combo unit (scan/copy/print/probably some other stuff I don't use...). It's a Brother MFC-L3770CDW. That's the model. It calls for GENUINE Brother TN-227BK/C/M/Y toner cartridges.

DKO has a point on the ink level chip that the OEM has but generics may not. Brother even has a deal that I don't use. It will automatically order new cartridges when the in-use cartridges are nearly depleted. I'm not interested in that, but I do like to see the ink level. Not sure if generics cover that.

I see that an entire set of genuine Brother cartridges ordered thru Amazon are about $336. I believe that's about what we paid for the printer with "starter" cartridges.
