I switched to a Brother laser printer in the office after many loyal years to Epson printers. But I just couldn't keep up with the ink supplies. I always bought genuine Epson ink. However, a few years ago I did try a lot of generic ink in the Epsons. It always seemed there was a 50-50 chance of the generic cartridge not working. Perhaps Epson has some way of controlling their competition within the printer structure. So, switched back to Epson ink & all was good....except for the stupid head cleaning. Man, does that burn up ink. Clean the print heads a couple of times & you need a new cartridge. Got tired of that & bought the Brother laser

But, laser refills are much more expensive from Brother. I'm tempted to try a generic laser refill. Does anyone have good or bad experience with generic laser refills?
