Dad and I take the row units off our corn planter and move the fertilizer rows over around 4-5". We then band the dry fertilizer with the corn planter. Unconventional, but it's cheap and does the job. lol We also don't run big acres.

That’s a great idea! ...nothing wrong with a little homemade farmer engineering. I’m always looking for different ideas for feet application, I don’t have huge horsepower to run a deep banding rig and refuse to pay someone else to farm for me. lol |
