Hi Iron Archer,
here is my current plan:
Let the CCs grow for about 2 months.
Apply 1.5 - 2 tons of pelletized poultry litter (~ 55 lbs of N/ton) shortly before terminating the CCs with shallow tillage (rotavator or McFarlane Incite 5100),
Field cultivate shortly before planting corn in mid to late May.
The field is slated for a Ca study (pelletized gypsum product applied over row @ planting or shortly after vs control w/ no gypsum)

So with about 55# of N. from the poultry litter, and maybe a 45# N credit from the soybeans in 2019, are you thinking the peas could provide the rest of the N you are targeting for the corn? |
