Ottawa,ON Canada | Depends what you have now, SF1? If so, need to buy SF3 and RTK activations, can’t skip a step. I think it’s around $3500US for each activation. If you want your own base, then x 2 + radios or modems. What is your reason for going to RTK? If it’s for tiling, radio is most accurate, but base needs to be pretty close to the rover. Otherwise cellular would be better, and probably makes more sense to pay to access the dealers network. We use radio RTK for tiling and levelling, but the range is short, so just run on RTK extend for spring planting, and then the base can be used on another tractor. Just have to put the base back up for a few minutes every 2 weeks, then RTK extend is good for 14 days again. Only yearly fee in that setup is we buy 3 months SF3 for the base receiver that ends up on the drill tractor for the spring. | |
