The old saying goes "My dishwasher quit, so I packed her stuff and sent her on her way" 

The dishwasher is my wife's must-have appliance.  She can deal with any of the rest of them going out, but that dishwasher is her life blood.  That thing runs 4-6 loads a week easily and hasn't missed a beat since we built the house.  If replacing this impeller doesn't work out, I'll just buy the new sump with both pumps attached.  Be well worth it to get a little more service out of this one.  Can't tell it from a new one, she just finally removed the protective plastic film on the handle a month or two ago because it started to peel and become noticeable.  She's pretty particular about her stuff.
