Texas | Sure love all the great stories and photos. This kind of talk and living is right up my alley. Never got to explore the extremely wild areas, like Alaska, but have lived in some remote areas where things are isolated.
Been wanting to spend some time on horseback in the Bob Marshall Wilderness area camping as well as in Idaho and parts of Canada. Not really fond of the idea of having close up encounters with grizzly bears at night, but will be well prepared to deal with such. Sure as heck won’t go alone and or without somebody experienced and knowledgeable. Same goes for Alaska if I ever get to go on a lengthy stay in the wilderness up there. Something about challenging terrain during the warmer times of year is an attractant. | |
