| I never rode in one in Alaska, but in 1998 I took a friend on a trip into the NW Territories. We got dropped in to Great Bear Lake, motored 250 miles around to the Great Bear River. Floated that down to the McKenzie River - 86 miles - and got a hop back to my truck. My friend took the second trip in, and they tried to take off, but had to go back to this dock and leave one jug of gas behind to get off the water. Nice bush plane, but, as you said, small.
