Ah Alaska. Lived up there in the 80's and 90's. Definitely lots of characters up there. Worked the North Slope for Baroid and Sohio/BP. We did some amazing backcountry trips: Harding Icefield, Katmai National Park to name a few. You can go into the Chugach and Talkeetna montains and see nobody for weeks. Lot's of interesting times on small planes. Here's a couple of photos of that time (boy I miss the King salmon fishing).
