Pittsburg, Kansas | Helio tail draggers were were built in a small factory in Pittsburg, Kansas (may have been built elsewhere also, I don't know). In old Quanset huts as I recall. When in grade school one of our spring trips was to tour the "factory" (more like a large blacksmith shop) where they made airplanes.
I think the buildings are still there near the airport.
Their claim to fame was short takeoff and landing.
