Subject: Wheat tiller count “yield estimation”

Medford, OK
I know it’s stupid, but I haven’t seen wheat with this kind of tiller count in this part of the world ever or that I can remember anyways. First pic is of “green hammer” planted at 60 lbs/acre. Second is “monument” planted at the same. Some plants I found on inspection had anywhere from 4-12 tillers. Both varieties have received 50 pounds of 11-52 at planting banded and 85 pounds of N 2 weeks ago.
