Most of the traffic will be on the opposite side of the road going into Phoenix. Two different ways to get there, both going through Gila Bend. The first is to head west on I 10 to highway 85 and I 8. The other is to go down to Maricopa and head west to Gila Bend and I 8. This way has a curving narrow 2 lane from Maricopa to Gila Bend but I believe it is a little shorter. Traffic in Yuma is a breeze. I've been there four times to complete dental work this year. Worst part is waiting in line to get back into the US. Two hours a couple of times to get through. Oh, and don't forget your passport. If you've been to Los Algodones you know how to say "no thanks" to the vendors and hawkers I assume.
