South Central MN | Well just got mine back up and running, put in a 1 TB solid state HD, and got dragged kicking and screaming into the next decade with Windows 10 Pro, figured since Win 7 didn't have support anymore I didn't have much of a choice.
Actually had it going a couple days later but on a very limited basis where all I could do was transfer files to a USB drive, had to "reinstall" windows to do that. Either a bad sector formed on the HD where a critical file was stored, or it just plain decided to take a dump on me, but something happened to the original install where it wouldn't boot anymore. No indication that it was a virus (yet) either.
I'd imagine that after 8 years something is bound to get corrupted on its own anyways. | |
