Newfane NY | There is nothing that you can do for your friend to help him with his diabetes until he comes to the realization that he has diabetes. If he is still drinking beer he has not come to grips with his illness, yet. You are noble to try and help him but he obviously is not looking For help other than what he gets from the needle. He must think for himself and decide what he wants to do, die a horrible death or live his life trying to make his diabetes tolerable.
The above may sound harsh but it took me over two years to come to the realization that I had diabetes and it took me having a toe amputated because of not treating my diabetes properly. Now that I am doing a better job of medicating myself and eating better I feel in my mind like I am 30 but my body feels like I am 50. Which I am happy with because I am 62. | |
