Here's my knee jerk opinion. Disclaimer, I'm not your doctor and I work on dogs, so take this for what it's worth. A 7 day course of antibiotic isnt adequate if you truly have a bacterial infection. If it's viral - you don't need antibiotics. Find another doctor.
