Read all the responses and will say jump in when you feel like it and know where your stopping point is.  I have seen all the above tricks and tips used successfully..........and unsuccessfully.  Every sale is different as is every area of the country and within a state.  Relax and enjoy it.  Experienced bidders can smell nervousness.
