NW IA | I was more than a little surprised that the piece hit all the buttons, obesity, heart disease, insulin resistance, fatty liver, toxicity and addiction. All tied to sugar, not fat.
And you don't get more mainstream establishment than 60 Minutes. Makes you wonder what was in their e-mail from network sponsors the next day.
Also big pharma sponsoring resources to help you avoid sugar. And 8 years ago. Not all bad.
Not an attack on all fronts (refined carbs etc.) but one thing I remember from a Lustig presentation, he said he is focused on sugar, not the entire carbohydrate field, and the other researchers may have just stepped on the line at that point in time.
